Whilst the proven techniques and principles employed for land surveys and topographical surveys haven't changed for decades, the equipment certainly has. These days, a 'total-station' probably has better number crunching performance than the NASA moon computer!

The use of modern digital survey devices and software has undoubtedly improved survey efficiency and accuracy, as well as providing a well-presented CAD output. But these are only tools, just part of a surveyor's armoury that he uses along with his knowledge and experience to get the job done. Survey Specifications

All EDL land surveys are carried out in accordance with RICS specifications and best practice. Crucially, we always determine the exact use or purpose of the survey and agree the specification with the client from the outset.
